ANTAI VENTURE BUILDER LEADS A €930.000 FUNDING ROUND IN GOCLEER.

Antai Venture Builder has led a financing round of nearly one million euros in the car insurance and micromobility startup Gocleer. The operation amounted to 930.000 euros and has involved, in addition to Antai, a group of business angels and family office both national and international. These investors have contributed a total of 750.000 euros, while the remaining 180.000 euros came from a participative loan from Enisa. Antai was already involved in the creation of the company.

Gocleer, founded in February last year by entrepreneurs Antonio Morales, Danae Vara and Ángel Casarrubios, will use the funds to improve its personalized digital insurance offering, boost its business and attract talent. “This capital injection is our starting point to promote the digital transformation of the car insurance and micro-mobility sector; our goal is to reach 4.000 policies by the end of the year,” says Antonio Morales, CEO of Gocleer.

The Barcelona-based company, which employs 11 people, has developed a cashback type of insurance focused on private drivers who make little use of their vehicles or who make regular use of other means of transport, with which the user can recover 30% of the annual value of the product. In parallel, Gocleer is preparing for this summer the launch of a mobility insurance marketplace focused on alternative vehicles such as scooters, bicycles or electric motorcycles.
