RENERTIA SELLS TO Q-ENERGY ITS FIRST PHOTOVOLTAIC FUND IN SPAIN, RENERTIA GESTIÓN SOLAR 1.

Renertia, the private equity firm specialized in the development and investment in renewable energy generation companies and plants, has agreed the sale to Q-Energy of the photovoltaic plants portfolio of its first fund, Renertia Gestión Solar 1. This first fund consists of a package of prime installations with a total capacity of 15MW located in Tenerife, La Rioja, Valladolid, Valencia, Toledo, Huesca, Valencia and Segovia. Renertia has obtained with this operation a return close to 100% of the capital invested at the time.

Renertia Gestión Solar 1 is a private equity firm with an initial capital of €17 million and a capex investment of €30 million. Its investors include Spanish family offices and industrial groups. The portfolio consists entirely of premium assets built approximately ten years ago and acquired five years ago by Renertia.

Renertia already has a second venture capital company in place, Renertia Gestión Solar 2, which has a portfolio of 60 MW of photovoltaic projects currently under construction that will be generating power by the end of this year. The projects include a 25 MW photovoltaic park in Fregenal de la Sierra, in the province of Badajoz.

The firm is now preparing the launch of a third company, Renertia Gestión Solar 3, with which it plans to develop between 150 and 200 MW with an estimated capital of €150 million, and with which it hopes to receive the support of its usual investors.
